Our three CMA tube laser machines excel at producing extremely accurate and complex laser-cut geometry on round, square, rectangular, and channel materials. They offer unparalleled flexibility and freedom in creating innovative tubular product designs, allowing designers to specify complex end forms and hole geometry that are not cost-effective to produce with other methods.
The capability to produce complex, accurate features in one machine reduces the need for secondary operations and ensures a precise fit for weldments and assembled components. Moreover, our tube lasers enable high-speed cutting without the added expense of hard tools. By combining multiple processes into a single operation, the CMA tube laser technique eliminates the need for saws, drills, nibblers, milling machines, and hand-held plasma torches.
For basic tube slotting applications where cost-effectiveness is key, a punch press operation is often the ideal fabrication method. This process relies on a punching die with a dedicated mandrel to create the slot. Typical shapes include straight slots (rectangular or square), round holes, or combinations of both. This punching method uses an internal support, ensuring the outside diameter of the tube remains intact.
